What I make
Convert The Spire Reborn
A music and video player with subtitles, synced lyrics and loops, that also downloads, converts and torrents, on Windows, macOS and Android. On the Microsoft Store and on Google Play as BitPlayer.
MIDIComposer
Pick a style and a mood, and it writes and plays a small arrangement, then exports it as MIDI or audio.
Lofi Player
A browser extension that plays lo-fi in its own window while you work, for Firefox and Chromium.
Extract All for Figma
Gets Lottie animations into Figma and designs out of it for AI coding tools, audits the file against a design rubric, and has a local MCP bridge so Claude can build in it.
How I work
I finish things. A project is not done when the code runs: it needs an installer, a store listing, a privacy policy, release notes and somewhere to ask for help. I write all of those too.
I test what breaks. End-to-end tests in two browsers for the extension, crashes reproduced on a pre-2013 PC for the app, and a server killed mid-write to prove the chat loses nothing.
I write for the people using it. Changelogs and guides in plain words, because someone downloading a converter should not need to know what a codec is.
This site
One Go binary serves all of it: plain server-rendered HTML, hand-written CSS, and WebSockets for the support chat. There is no JavaScript framework and no build step, and it runs on a Raspberry Pi. What the site and the apps collect, and what they leave alone, is written out in full in the privacy policy.
Why older parts of the site are gone
Some older parts of this site (a quiz game, community articles and stories, an idle game, and a few other tools) were taken offline in September 2026 at the request of rights holders, and because parts of the written content had been produced with AI tools and I can't stand behind the rights to it. That content is gone and won't be coming back. What remains is the work I wrote and can vouch for.
